AAWireless is moving beyond its Android Auto adapters with AAWireless Charge, a new wireless car charger based on the Qi2 standard. The device costs $50 and supports MagSafe, Pixelsnap and Qi2-compatible phones, with charging speeds of up to 25W on supported models.
The charger includes an integrated fan for active cooling. According to AAWireless, the fan is designed to operate quietly while the phone is charging.
The package includes an air vent mount, an adhesive base and two magnetic ring adapters. These rings are intended for Qi2 Ready phones without built-in magnets or a compatible magnetic case.
AAWireless recommends using the car’s 12V outlet with the included adapter for the best performance. Existing USB-C connections can also be used if they provide sufficient power.
AAWireless Charge does not include a wireless Android Auto adapter. However, the company says it can be used alongside one of its adapters while driving. Unlike those adapters, which remain available through Amazon, AAWireless Charge is sold exclusively through the company’s website.
