Apple Music’s new Selfie Sing feature lets users make video recordings of themselves singing along to selected tracks. It is included in the iOS 27.3 beta and pairs a front-facing camera view with lyrics that scroll on screen during recording.

To start, users choose a song and tap the camera icon, then press the red record button. Once the song ends, they can adjust their vocal volume or apply one of four effects: Megaphone, Echo, Concert Hall or Studio. The finished video can be saved to the Photos library or shared.

Apple has also created a dedicated Selfie Sing playlist, featuring songs including Aretha Franklin’s “Respect,” Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” Madonna’s “Like a Virgin,” Oasis’s “Wonderwall,” Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like the Wolf” and Britney Spears’s “Baby One More Time.”

The recording option is not available for every song in Apple Music. The playlist appears on iPhones running iOS 27.2, but activating the front-facing camera requires the iOS 27.3 beta. Selfie Sing builds on Apple Music Sing, the karaoke feature introduced in iOS 16.2.
