Google’s Home Speaker is on sale for the first time since it launched on June 27. The $20 discount brings its price down from $99.99 to $79.99 at the Google Store, with the same offer available at Best Buy and other retailers. The sale began today and ends December 2, two days after Cyber Monday.
The speaker comes in Berry, Hazel, Jade and Porcelain, with a fabric-covered design and 360-degree audio. It can be paired with the Google TV Streamer and has three far-field microphones, a privacy mute switch at the base, status lights and touch controls for volume and playback.
Matter support lets the device work as a smart home hub. Its attached USB-C cable measures 59.1 inches, and a 30W charger is included. The speaker stands 3.4 inches tall.
Gemini for Home supports familiar voice commands. Real-time Gemini Live sessions require a Google Home Premium Standard subscription, priced at $10 per month or $100 per year. Each speaker includes a 30-day trial.
