Google has confirmed that some Pixel Watch users have been experiencing unusually fast battery drain and says a fix is now rolling out. The company expects it to reach all users over the next couple of days.

Reports of the problem appeared last week, with users describing battery life well below their usual levels. The issue did not affect every watch, but complaints included devices from the Pixel Watch 2 and newer.

Google says the fix applies to a small number of affected users. To install it, open the Play Store on the watch by pressing the crown, then go to Manage apps and tap Update all.

Google has not said what caused the drain or whether it was connected to a Wear OS update. The company’s guidance is to update the watch’s apps to apply the fix.
