Google has added a Legend of Zelda-themed Easter egg that takes Search back to its 1998 appearance. Search for “Zelda” or “Ocarina of Time” and a Master Sword appears in the bottom-right corner of the page.
Tap the sword to see a simplified version of Google with seven blue links and short descriptions. The “I’m Feeling Lucky” button is also functional. Tapping the sword again returns Search to its current design, with an animation and sounds that vary depending on the direction of the transition.
The retro look only applies to those specific searches. It does not remain active when users search for something else, even from the search box on the themed page. The Easter egg works on desktop and mobile.
