Henry Cavill has created a 16-bit game called “Mustache Protocol” on Googlebook, as part of a promotional campaign for the platform. The game draws on the “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” mustache meme and centers on stopping rogue CGI artists from erasing every mustache on the planet.
Google says Cavill used Rambler on his Googlebook to organize ideas, then used Magic Pointer to explore visual styles and combine elements. Continue On let him move between an Android phone and Googlebook without losing context. The game appears to have been made on an HP Googlebook 14 with Google Antigravity and other AI tools, which translated natural-language prompts into working 16-bit game mechanics.
“Mustache Protocol” has not launched yet. Through its partnership with Movember, Google says it will donate $11 for every play during November, up to a maximum of $500,000. The funds will support awareness and funding for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
In the meantime, Google has released a three-part series showing Cavill designing the hero character, creating meme-inspired superpowers and adding to the game’s soundtrack.
