Honor is reportedly testing a smartphone battery with a capacity of between 14,000mAh and 15,000mAh, with tipster Digital Chat Station saying the cell has entered trial production. The battery was previously reported to be in the New Product Introduction stage.

The tipster claims Honor expects a phone using the battery to last up to a week on a single charge. The device is expected to launch next year, but its identity has not been confirmed. Possible candidates mentioned in the leak include the Honor Power3 and Win RT3.

The battery is described as a high-density cell, which the tipster says would keep the phone’s weight and thickness from becoming excessive. Honor recently unveiled the Win RT2 and Win Turbo2, both equipped with 12,070mAh batteries.
