Samsung is reportedly preparing an improved version of its Privacy Display for two Galaxy S27 models. According to the latest leak concerning the component options for the series, the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra may feature the technology with “enhanced display brightness.”

The Privacy Display, introduced on this year’s flagship, is designed to limit visibility from certain angles. It can also be useful for situations such as dimming notifications so that messages are visible primarily to the person using the phone.

The new information follows a previous leak from September, with both reports indicating that only the two higher-end Galaxy S27 models will receive the feature. The Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27 Plus are not expected to include a display capable of blocking views from the sides.

Brightness is the only new detail revealed so far. It remains unclear whether Samsung will make broader improvements to the display’s quality, which could help reduce the trade-offs associated with using the privacy function.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S27 series early next year, although a specific release date has not been confirmed.
