RedMagic has announced the RedMagic 12 Pro for global markets, following the unveiling of its Chinese counterpart, the RedMagic 12 Pro+, in mid-October. The global model retains the RGB-lit liquid cooling system and 8,400mAh battery, but supports 80W wired charging rather than the Chinese version’s 120W. It also offers wireless and bypass charging.

The battery is 12% larger than the 7,500mAh unit in the RedMagic 11 Pro, while the new phone is thinner: 8.5mm, compared with 8.9mm. Its 6.85-inch BOE X11 OLED display has a 1.5K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. RedMagic describes it as a full-screen design, with an under-display selfie camera and 0.96mm bezels. The panel is rated for peak brightness of 1,900 nits across the screen and 5,000 nits locally, and touch sampling can reach 5,000Hz.

The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, alongside RedMagic’s RedCore R5 gaming chip and G1 display chip. Configurations offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The rear camera setup consists of a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization and a 50MP ultrawide camera. A 16MP selfie camera sits beneath the display, with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader also built in.

RedMagic’s AquaCore Cooling System 3.0 combines dual-loop liquid cooling with a 25,500 RPM fan, a vapor chamber with a 15% larger effective cooling area, and Liquid Metal 4.0. The system’s micro-pump can deliver up to 130kPa of pressure while drawing as little as 20mW. The cooling liquid now has RGB lighting.

Other features include IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, with a separate IPX8 rating for the fan area, 520Hz shoulder triggers, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an X-axis linear motor, an IR blaster, NFC, Wi-Fi 7 and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port. The phone runs RedMagic OS 12, based on Android 17, and includes Gemini integration, PC game emulation and Steam access through the X-Gravity gaming center.

The RedMagic 12 Pro will be available in Nightfreeze, a transparent black finish, and Subzero, a transparent silver finish. Prices start at $949 in North America for the Nightfreeze model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 16GB/512GB version costs $1,049, while the 16GB/1TB model is $1,199. Subzero is offered with 16GB of RAM and either 512GB of storage for $1,049 or 1TB for $1,199.

In Europe, prices range from €899 to €1,199. The starting price is €200 higher than that of the RedMagic 11 Pro, and the top configuration has 16GB of RAM rather than the previous model’s 24GB. Prices vary by market, with the phone also listed for sale in Canada, the UK, Singapore, Mexico, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Early Bird vouchers will be available from November 12 to 17. Voucher holders can order on November 17 and receive an 80W charger and a RedMagic-branded item. Open sales begin November 18 through RedMagic’s online stores and select retailers in North America, most of the EU, the UK, parts of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Mexico and Chile.
