The Redmi Turbo 6 Max is reportedly set to feature a flat display of around 7 inches, with 2K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate, according to new details shared by a Chinese tipster. The screen is also said to support BT.2020 colors and use a high-brightness, low-power substrate.
The panel may use LIPO packaging to reduce the bottom bezel and bring it in line with the other sides, reportedly leaving bezels of about 1mm all around. Large rounded corners are also expected, though these display specifications have not been confirmed.
If accurate, the screen would be an upgrade over the Redmi Turbo 5 Max’s 6.83-inch AMOLED display, which has a resolution of 1280 x 2772 and a 120Hz refresh rate. The 7-inch size and 2K resolution had previously been rumored, while the 185Hz refresh rate and approximately 1mm bezels are newly reported details.
The same tipster has previously claimed that the Turbo 6 Max will use a Dimensity 9500s chipset and have a battery capacity above 10,000mAh. Redmi launched the Turbo 5 Max globally as the Poco X8 Pro Max, so its successor could follow the same route as the Poco X9 Pro Max.
