The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27+ has received additional certification backing for 45W wired charging. After appearing in China’s 3C database with support for that charging speed in September, the phone was listed by two safety certification bodies with a 15V/3A rating, equivalent to 45W.

The certifications cover a broad range of model variants, including the global SM-S956B, Korean SM-S956N, US SM-S956U, Chinese SM-S9560 and SC-52H model intended for Docomo in Japan. This suggests the Galaxy S27+ could offer the same charging speed across the markets where it is sold.

The reported specification matches the 45W charging supported by the Galaxy S26+. If confirmed, Samsung’s Plus models would retain that charging speed for a sixth consecutive generation, starting with the Galaxy S22+.

The standard Galaxy S27 is also not expected to receive a charging upgrade, as a certification reported the previous week indicated 25W support, matching the Galaxy S26. The Galaxy S27 series is rumored to return to Samsung’s usual January or February launch window, when its specifications should be officially confirmed.
