Xiaomi has begun the global rollout of HyperOS 4, with a schedule covering 82 devices across its Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco brands. The update will arrive in three waves, starting in early November and concluding in December.

The first wave is scheduled for early November. Eligible devices include the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra, the Redmi Note 17 and Note 15 series, and the POCO F8 Ultra, F8 Pro and X8 family.

A second wave is due to begin in mid-November. It adds the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro, POCO F9 Ultra, POCO F7 and POCO X7 Pro, as well as the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Redmi Pad 2 Pro. The final group, expected in December, includes the MIX Flip, Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 13, Redmi Note 14 models and the POCO F6.

The rollout will be staggered, and the Android version underneath HyperOS 4 will vary by device: some will run Android 17, while others will remain on Android 16.

Users should also check their available storage before downloading. The update package for the POCO F8 Pro is reported to be 8.4 GB, while downloads for some entry-level models or devices staying on Android 16 are expected to be around 6 GB. Installation requires additional temporary space, so more than 10 GB of free storage is recommended to avoid the process failing.

HyperOS 4 brings a redesigned interface with translucent panels and layered notifications. Xiaomi also attributes improvements to battery life and process management to HyperCore, which reduces redundant instructions and rewrites system apps.
