Zoom received an update over the weekend that adds optimization for iPhone Duo. On the device’s large inner display, users can now view shared content, such as the host’s desktop, alongside the other participants in a call.
Four Microsoft applications were also updated today for the device: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. Outlook has supported iPhone Duo since launch, while Microsoft Teams has not yet received the optimization.
Apps built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later can use the full width of both the outer and inner displays. In these optimized apps, toolbars and tab bars are arranged vertically below the status bar.
Applications built with the iOS 26 SDK or earlier still run on iPhone Duo, but appear centered on the inner display, leaving considerable unused space. Optimized apps are identified in the App Store with a “Made for iPhone Duo” label.
