iPadOS 27.3 adds a Siri mode to the Camera app on supported iPads, expanding a feature introduced in iOS 27 for iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. The update entered beta today and is expected to be released in December.
The feature is available on iPad-pro/">iPad Pro and iPad Air models with an M1 chip or later, as well as iPad mini models with the A17 Pro or A20 Pro chip. Switching to Siri mode in the Camera app lets users get information about objects and other things around them through Visual Intelligence.
On iPad, users can also take a photo and circle an object with Apple Pencil to ask Visual Intelligence for information about it. The feature itself was already available on iPad; the new Siri tab offers another way to access it.
